Centre for Development of the North-Eastern Planning Region (CRSIPR)
The Center for the Development of the North-Eastern Planning Region (CRSIPR) was established in accordance with the Law on Balanced Regional Development in May 2008. The seat of the Center is in the Local Self-Government Unit with the largest number of inhabitants, the municipality of Kumanovo.
Northeastern Region, one of the eight statistical regions of North Macedonia. This region is located in the northeastern part of the country, stretches along the course of the rivers Pčinja and Kriva Reka, and borders Serbia, Kosovo and Bulgaria, and internally with the Skopje and Eastern Regions.

General description
The North-East Region includes 6 municipalities and 192 settlements, of which 189 are rural settlements. The population density is 75 inhabitants/km2. The Northeast Region includes the municipalities: Kumanovo, Kratovo, Kriva Palanka, Lipkovo, Rankovce and Staro Nagoricane, with a total area of 2,310 km2 and covers 9% of the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia. The main center of the region is the city of Kumanovo.
The Center for Development, as a legal entity, plays a key role in the formation of the regional strategy and implementation of planning documents related to regional development. Apart from being responsible for the professional and administrative-technical affairs of the Council for the Development of the Planning Region, he also actively works to encourage intermunicipal cooperation. The center is dedicated to the promotion of the development potential of the region and actively cooperates with the municipalities, providing them with professional and technical assistance in the preparation of their development programs. In addition, it provides support to NGOs and civil society organizations in the preparation of projects in the field of regional development. One of the main priorities of the Center is to strengthen the capacity of local communities, the business sector and to stimulate regional development. Besides working to strengthen inter-municipal ties, it also initiates and supports projects aimed at economic growth, social inclusion and environmental improvement. The center, with its proactive role, strives to create a dynamic and sustainable region, where every citizen will have the opportunity for quality life and participation in regional development.
The center is actively involved in utilizing the development opportunities offered by the pre-accession European IPA funds, by organizing informative and educational workshops for all interested parties, as well as by directly applying for development projects.
The council for the development of the planning region is established for each region separately.
